Pot Light
Installation
LED recessed lighting installed cleanly in finished and unfinished ceilings across Toronto & the GTA. Bright results, minimal disruption.
Pot Lights Done Right
A pot light installation that's done properly is nearly invisible — perfect spacing, zero visible wiring, and a clean finish that looks like it was always there. Done poorly, you end up with irregular spacing, visible patch marks, or wiring that pokes through unexpected places.
Safe Electrical Solutions has installed thousands of recessed lights across the GTA. We plan the layout carefully, fish wires through walls and ceiling cavities with minimal disruption, and patch any necessary drywall cuts so the result looks flawless.
Finished vs. Unfinished Ceilings
Unfinished Ceilings (Basement, Garage)
With an accessible attic above or open joist bays below, wiring is straightforward. We secure all runs properly and use IC-rated recessed fixtures where insulation contact may occur.
Finished Ceilings (Main Floor, Second Floor)
This is where technique matters. We use low-profile remodel-style pot lights that install from below, fish wiring carefully between joists, and keep the number of ceiling penetrations to an absolute minimum. Most rooms require no patch work at all — or at most, one small hole for wire access that we repair.

How Many Pot Lights Do You Need?
The number and spacing of pot lights depends on the ceiling height, room size, and desired light levels. As a general rule, one pot light per 25–30 sq ft of ceiling area provides a well-lit room. We walk through your space and provide a layout recommendation before any work begins.
